Hi,

My name is Ricardo. I have the nickname, “Wheelchair Boy” because I was born with a disability and must use a wheelchair. I am six years old and cannot walk. Other than using a wheelchair, I am a normal kid with normal interests just like other boys my age. My wheelchair makes me limited in the things I can do

One day I was in my room when suddenly I heard a big bang coming from my closet. I went to check it out and saw an old book lying on the floor. I never saw this book before that day. It appeared from nowhere. I went over and picked it up and the book started to shake uncontrollably. The next thing I knew, it was flying around my room until it landed on my bed.

I went over to the bed to see if there was anything attached to the book that would make it fly like an airplane. I did not see anything. I opened the book and looked inside. Next thing I knew, I was pulled into the book. Before I could think, I landed in the middle of a rainforest or jungle environment. When I looked down at myself, I was wearing the clothes of an explorer.

Naturally, I was a little frightened. Then I looked down and found the magical book was lying in my lap. It was opened to a page with a map on it. That is when my first adventure started. Ever since, it has been an amazing ride and I eagerly look forward to the next adventure.

Will you come and explore these new adventures with me? I know it will be fun for you, just like it is for me. The next stop is The Adventures of Wheelchair Boy.

See you there!

Ricardo,

Wheelchair Boy
